The Conference of the Parties at its seventh meeting in Decision VII/27 requested submissions from Parties regarding the abandonment of ships on land or in ports. The responses made have been reviewed by the Conference of the Parties at its eighth meeting.
في اجتماعه السابع وفي المقرر 7/27 بشأن التخلي عن السفن على اليابسة أو في الموانئ، قام مؤتمر الأطراف باستعراض الردود التي وصلت وذلك أثناء اجتماعه الثامن.

Parties to the Convention and other stakeholders were invited to submit responses to a questionnaire on the abandonment of ships on land or in ports, which will be compiled by the secretariat of the Basel Convention for submission to the second session of the Joint Working Group and the fifth session of the Open-ended Working Group.

Requests the Secretariat to review and analyse information received from Parties, other States, ship owners and other stakeholders by 30 June 2006 on the abandonment of ships on land or in ports and to identify key issues for proposals on how to address cases of such abandonment for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its eighth meeting;
1 - يطلب إلى الأمانة استعراض وتحليل المعلومات التي تلقتها من الأطراف والدول الأخرى وملاك السفن وغيرهم من أصحاب المصلحة قبل 30 حزيران/يونيه 2006، بشأن ترك السفن على اليابسة أو في المرافئ وتحديد قضايا رئيسية من أجل مقترحات بشأن طريقة معالجة هذه الحالات الخاصة بترك السفن لكي ينظر فيها مؤتمر الأطراف في اجتماعه الثامن؛

The representative of the Secretariat also recalled that, at its eighth meeting, the Conference of the Parties had also adopted decision VIII/13, which recognized the need for guidance on how best to deal with ships that had been abandoned on land or in ports to be developed on the basis of the relevant information submitted to the Secretariat by the Parties.
107- وأشارت ممثلة الأمانة كذلك إلى أنه أثناء الاجتماع الثامن، كان مؤتمر الأطراف قد اعتمد المقرر 8/13 الذي اعترف بالحاجة إلى توجيهات حول كيفية أفضل وسيلة للتعامل مع السفن التي تم التخلي عنها على اليابسة أو في الموانئ، ويتم تطوير هذه التوجيهات على أساس المعلومات ذات الصلة التي تقدم إلى الأمانة من جانب الأطراف.
