Efforts to promote access to information on environmentally sound technologies could be examined, with particular reference to three issues:

14. The Commission invites the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to continue its work to develop an EST information system network so as to increase compatibility and cooperation among information systems and sources related to ESTs, and to keep the Commission informed of its progress.

19. At the third session of the Commission in April 1995, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) submitted an interim report containing the results of a survey of information systems related to ESTs.

22. The importance of country-based information access points that should be networked with other facilities for technology transfer such as centres for training, demonstration and transfer of ESTs has been recognized.
٢٢ - جرى اﻹقرار بأهمية الوصول الى المعلومات القطرية التي ينبغي ربطها بغيرها من مرافق نقل التكنولوجيا مثل مراكز التدريب واﻹرشاد المتصلين بالتكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا ونقل هذه التكنولوجيات.

75. The survey found that while there was some interest in environmentally sound technology among international venture capitalists, there was a shortage of information on ESTs from a business perspective.
٧٥ - وانتهت الدراسة الاستقصائية الى أنه رغم وجود بعض الاهتمام لدى أصحاب رأس المال الاستثماري الدوليين بالتكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا فإن هناك نقصا في المعلومات المتاحة عن هذه التكنولوجيات من منظور تجاري.

270. The UNEP International Environmental Technology Centre electronic information system “maESTro”, which collects and makes information available on environmental sound technologies for urban and freshwater basin management, allows information to be exchanged among information systems and has become a powerful tool in coordinating various data holdings.
٢٧٠ - وهناك نظام المعلومات الالكترونية " مايسترو " لدى المركز الدولي للتكنولوجيا البيئية التابع لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للبيئة، الذي يجمع ويوفر المعلومات المتعلقة بالتكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا ﻹدارة المدن وأحواض المياه العذبة ويتيح إمكانية تبادل المعلومات فيما بين نظم المعلومات، وقد أصبح أداة فعالة في التنسيق بين مختلف البيانات الموجودة.

The survey was conducted by UNEP in early 1995 in an attempt to identify and characterize the existing and planned information systems related to EST.
وقد أجرى هذه الدراسة برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للبيئة في مطلع عام ١٩٩٥، سعيا منه إلى تحديد ووصف نظم المعلومات القائمة والمقرر إنشاؤها، المتصلة بالتكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا.
