• World Statistics Day

The celebration of World Statistics Day will also acknowledge the service provided by international, regional and subregional agencies in promoting and facilitating the development of national statistical systems.
كما أن الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء سيكون بمثابة تقدير للخدمات التي تقدمها الوكالات الدولية والإقليمية ودون الإقليمية في مجال تعزيز وتيسير تطوّر النظم الإحصائية الوطنية.

The Commission will in particular discuss the relevance and effectiveness of the activities and proposed options for future celebrations of World Statistics Day.
وستناقش اللجنة بوجه خاص أهمية وفعالية الأنشطة والخيارات المقترحة للاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء مستقبلا.

II. Proposal for the celebration of World Statistics Day in 2015

1. At its forty-fifth session, the Statistical Commission, in its decision 45/113, proposed to celebrate the next World Statistics Day on 20 October 2015.
١ - اقترحت اللجنة الإحصائية في دورتها الخامسة والأربعين، في مقررها 45/113، الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء القادم في 20 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2015.

:: Marking World Statistics Day globally every five years would enable this international day to have and to maintain a more exceptional status, more likely to give rise to high-profile events and to generate a considerable amount of publicity
الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء كل خمسة أعوام على صعيد العالم سيجعل هذا اليوم الدولي استثنائيا وسيحافظ على هذه الطبيعة الاستثنائية، ما يرجح أن يسفر عن تنظيم مناسبات بارزة وتوليد قدر كبير من الإعلان

8. By taking note of this report, the Commission is invited to confirm the Bureau's recommendation that World Statistics Day be observed every five years.
8 - بالإحاطة علما بهذا التقرير، تدعى اللجنة إلى تأكيد توصية المكتب بأن يحتفل باليوم العالمي للإحصاء كل خمس سنوات.

The Commission is invited to comment on the relevance and effectiveness of the activities and the proposed options for future celebrations of World Statistics Day.

The proposed World Statistics Day aims at raising awareness of the many contributions of official statistics premised on the core values of service, integrity and professionalism.
والهدف من اقتراح الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء هو إذكاء الوعي بالإسهامات العديدة التي قدّمتها الإحصاءات الرسمية المنبنية على القيم الأساسية التي هي الخدمة والنزاهة والاحتراف المهني.

8. On the basis of such strong positive feedbacks, the Statistics Division has finalized its proposal to celebrate World Statistics Day on 20 October 2010 (20102010).
8 - وانطلاقا من ردود الأفعال الإيجابية القوية هذه، أتمّت شعبة الإحصاءات صياغة مقترح الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء في 20 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2010.

18. The United Nations Statistics Division presented to the Committee at its fourteenth session its strategy for the celebration of World Statistics Day on 20 October 2010.
18 - وقدمت الشعبة الإحصائية في الأمم المتحدة إلى اللجنة في دورتها الرابعة عشرة استراتيجيتها للاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء في 20 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2010.

9. World Statistics Day will aim to raise awareness of the many contributions of official statistics premised on the core values of service, integrity and professionalism.
9 - يُقصد بالاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء إذكاء الوعي بالإسهامات العديدة التي تقدّمها الإحصاءات الرسمية المنبنية على القيم الأساسية التي هي الخدمة والنزاهة والاحتراف المهني.

5. As requested by the Commission and as indicated above, the 2015 celebration of World Statistics Day will be decentralized in nature, similar to the first celebration, held in 2010, with materials developed by the Statistics Division and made available to countries.
٥ - على نحو ما طلبته اللجنة وأشير إليه أعلاه، سيكون احتفال عام 2015 باليوم العالمي للإحصاء ذا طابع لا مركزي على غرار الاحتفال الأول، الذي نُظّم في عام 2010، وذلك باستخدام مواد تعدّها شعبة الإحصاءات وتتيحها للبلدان.

(b) Proposed to celebrate the next World Statistics Day on 20 October 2015;

:: Contribution to the observation of World Statistics Day on 20 October 2010, which was organized by the United Nations Statistics Division, by calling on statistical societies worldwide to organize events and congresses celebrating the day.
المساهمة في الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء في 20 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2010، الذي نظمته الشعبة الإحصائية في الأمم المتحدة، بدعوة الجمعيات الإحصائية في جميع أنحاء العالم إلى تنظيم مناسبات ومؤتمرات للاحتفال بهذا اليوم.

:: A five-year interval for marking World Statistics Day globally would be more realistic, taking into account the limited resources often available to national statistical offices and to the Statistics Division of the United Nations for promotional activities

5. While only one overarching theme should be chosen for the worldwide celebration of World Statistics Day, it is important to mention that the celebration will continue to be decentralized in nature.

Following the first World Statistics Day, celebrated on 20 October 2010, the Commission decided in 2012 that World Statistics Day would be observed every five years.
عقب الاحتفال بأول يوم عالمي للإحصاء في 20 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2010، قررت اللجنة في عام 2012 أن يحتفل باليوم العالمي للإحصاء كل خمس سنوات.

Following the celebration of the first World Statistics Day, the Commission, at its forty-second session, in its decision 42/101, expressed satisfaction and appreciation that the observance of World Statistics Day had been a global success and had made a positive impact in advocating the importance of official statistics.
وفي أعقاب الاحتفال باليوم العالمي الأول للإحصاء، أعربت اللجنة في دورتها الثانية والأربعين، في مقررها 42/101، عن الارتياح والتقدير لأن الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء حقق نجاحاً عالمياً وأثر تأثيرا إيجابيا في الترويج لأهمية الإحصاءات الرسمية.

As a result of the success of this first celebration of World Statistics Day in 2010, the Commission, at its forty-third session, in March 2012, confirmed the recommendation of its Bureau that World Statistics Day be celebrated every five years, with the next celebration occurring in 2015.
