In this regard, the Committee also recommends that the State party ratify ILO Conventions No. 174 concerning the prevention of major industrial accidents and No. 81 concerning Labour Inspection.

In this connection, the Committee recommends that the State party consider ratifying the ILO Convention No. 81 concerning Labour Inspection in Industry and Commerce.

In cooperation with the International Labour Organization, in 2009 the first Regional Workshop on Labour Inspection and Forced Labour in Latin America took place, with the participation of 10 Latin American countries, at which experiences on that topic were shared.
