In her report dated 22 March 2006 (E/CN.4/2006/95/Add.1), the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on the situation of human rights defenders remained extremely concerned about the situation of human rights defenders in Uzbekistan, which had worsened following the Andijan events in May 2005.
