The General Assembly authorized the Secretary-General to award a number of fellowships, to be determined in the light of the overall resources for the Programme of Assistance and to be awarded to qualified candidates from developing countries, to attend the International Law Fellowship Programme in 2012 in accordance with paragraph 2 (a) of resolution 66/97.

In an effort to promote greater awareness of the Audiovisual Library, the Codification Division gave presentations on the Audiovisual Library at the Regional Course in International Law in Ethiopia and the African Regional Law Deans' Forum in Kenya, and during the International Law Fellowship Programme in the Netherlands.

27. In an effort to promote greater awareness of the Audiovisual Library, the Codification Division gave Audiovisual Library presentations at the Regional Courses in International Law in Thailand and Ethiopia, the African Union Forum on International and African Union Law in Ethiopia, the International Association of Law Schools Annual Meeting in India, as well as at the International Law Fellowship Programme in the Netherlands.

The demand for international law training in developing countries has been increasing and during 2006-2007, there were around 600 applications for 38 positions in the International Law Fellowship Programme in The Hague, although limited resources and the weak United States dollar meant that the total number of fellows accepted was less than the 48 accepted during 2004-2005.
ويتزايد الطلب على التدريب في مجال القانون الدولي في البلدان النامية. فخلال الفترة 2006-2007، قُدِّم حوالي 600 طلب للحصول على 38 منصبا في برنامج الزمالات في مجال القانون الدولي في لاهاي، على الرغم من أن محدودية الموارد وضعف دولار الولايات المتحدة أديا إلى انخفاض مجموع عدد الزمالات المقبولة عن نظيره في الفترة 2004-2005 الذي بلغ 48 زمالة.
