As in the past, the reports of the Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief submitted to the Commission and the General Assembly devoted one section to women, drawing attention to the persistence of discrimination and acts of intolerance attributed to religion affecting women, fostered by both State and non-State organizations.
