In this connection, the Advisory Committee recalls that it had been informed by the Controller by means of letters dated 31 July 2007 and 12 February 2008 that UNDOF had requested an additional $3,485,300 to fund the following unforeseen immediate operational requirements during the 2007/08 period:

31. the Advisory Committee recalls that the Standing Committee of UNHCR adopted a decision in 2011 to commence partial funding of UNHCR's end-of-of service and post-retirement liabilities, including after-service health insurance (ASHI), with effect from 1 January 2012.

11. On a related matter, the Advisory Committee recalls that, in its previous report on the pattern of conferences, it had noted that the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management had already developed a costing model and tools to quantify conference-servicing costs.

58. On the evolution of the associated costs of the capital master plan, the Advisory Committee recalls that in 2008, the Secretary-General presented the initial report on the associated costs for the period 2008-2013 (A/62/799), which was revised in his subsequent report (A/63/582).

the Advisory Committee recalls that in its previous report on UNAMSIL it commented on the fact that the United Nations pays dual tentage and accommodation rates to contingents deployed to UNAMSIL when they remain in tents after the first six months of deployment, and pointed out that local contractors and locally available materials should be taken into account when considering the cost of hard-wall accommodation (see A/57/772/Add.3, para. 34).

In this connection, the Advisory Committee recalls that the budget for UNFICYP for the 2012/13 period provided for a projected increase of 11.4 per cent in resource requirements for utilities (under the facilities and infrastructure budget line) to address the increased costs of power generation incurred as a result of the explosion (see A/66/718/Add.9, para. 32).
