To facilitate such adjustments, two independent assessments of the progress with implementation should be undertaken: the first, an ongoing external evaluation conducted simultaneously with the mid-term evaluation of The Strategy, and the second, a terminal evaluation conducted at the end of the implementation period, to facilitate planning for the subsequent phase, as necessary.

25. Following the deliberations of the CRIC Bureau at its meeting on 21 - 22 June 2010, Parties will also have an opportunity to undertake preliminary exchanges on the criteria and modalities for the mid-term evaluation of The Strategy.
25- وفقا لمداولات مكتب لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية التي جرت أثناء اجتماعه المعقود يومي 21 و22 حزيران/يونيه 2010، ستتاح للأطراف أيضا فرصة لإجراء تبادل أولي لوجهات النظر بشأن معايير وطرائق تقييم الاستراتيجية في منتصف المدة.

7. Calls on Parties, as needed, to consider the added value of the alignment process in the light of the outcome of the mid-term evaluation of The Strategy, including possible incentive schemes for alignment;

The Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention, at its eleventh session may wish to review the recommendations made in this document with a view to providing advice to COP 11 which will deal with, inter alia, the refinement of indicators in the context of the mid-term evaluation of The Strategy.
ولعل لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية تود أن تستعرض، في دورتها الحادية عشرة، التوصيات الواردة في هذه الوثيقة بغية إسداء المشورة للدورة الحادية عشرة لمؤتمر الأطراف التي ستتناول من بين ما ستتناوله تنقيح المؤشرات في سياق تقييم الاستراتيجية في منتصف المدة.

1. The IWG should consider revising this indicator in the framework of the mid-term evaluation of The Strategy in order to ensure the collection of reliable data and avoid perception-based indicators.
1- ينبغي للفريق العامل بين الدورات أن ينظر في تنقيح هذا المؤشر في إطار تقييم الاستراتيجية في منتصف المدة من أجل كفالة جمع بيانات موثوقة وتفادي مؤشرات قائمة على تصورات.

24. The CRIC will continue to support the reporting and review process and will adjust its operations according to the relevant COP 11 decisions on the outcome of the mid-term evaluation of The Strategy, with particular regard to the performance review and assessment of implementation system (PRAIS).
24- وستواصل اللجنة دعم عملية الإبلاغ والاستعراض وستكيف عملياتها وفقاً لما له صلة من مقررات الدورة 11 لمؤتمر الأطراف المتعلقة بنتائج تقييم الاستراتيجية في منتصف المدة، ولا سيما فيما يتعلق بنظام استعراض الأداء وتقييم التنفيذ.

Comprehensive advice by the CRIC at its eleventh session (CRIC 11) will facilitate follow-up on the targeted recommendations put forward for consideration by the COP at its eleventh session (COP 11) which will also address the refinement of indicators in the context of the mid-term evaluation of The Strategy, as set out in decision 3/COP.8.
ومن شأن تقديم لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية مشورة شاملة في دورتها الحادية عشرة أن يسهل متابعة التوصيات المحددة الهدف المقدمة لينظر فيها مؤتمر الأطراف في دورته الحادية عشرة التي ستتناول أيضاً تنقيح المؤشرات في سياق تقييم الاستراتيجية في منتصف المدة، على النحو المبين في المقرر 3/م أ-8.
