She wished to know when that would be done.

Ms. Ojiambo (Kenya), speaking on behalf of the Group of African States, said that those States attached great importance to the fight against racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance within the framework of the relevant international instruments and the work of the Special Rapporteur.

19. Ms. Ayesha (Pakistan), speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, stressed the importance of agreed resolutions on international trade and development which could provide policy guidance to the negotiators in Geneva and WTO.

Ms. Lock (South Africa), speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, recalled that the General Assembly, in its resolution 52/12 B, had accepted the Secretary-General's proposals and recommendations on promoting sustained and sustainable development as a central policy of the Organization, including the creation of a development account.

Mrs. ARAGON (Philippines), speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, said she hoped that resolution 48/263, in which the General Assembly had decided to fund the administrative expenses of the Authority until the end of the year following the year during which the Agreement relating to the Implementation of Part XI of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea entered into force, would be implemented.
٣٤ - السيدة أراجون )الفلبين(: تكلمت نيابة عن مجموعة اﻟ ٧٧ والصين وأعربت عن أملها في أن ينفذ القرار ٤٨/٢٦٣ الذي قررت الجمعية العامة فيه تمويل المصروفات اﻹدارية للسلطة حتى نهاية السنة التي تلي السنة التي يبدأ خلالها نفاذ الاتفاق المتصل بتنفيذ الجزء الحادي عشر من اتفاقية اﻷمم المتحدة لقانون البحار وطلبت كذلك توضيحا عن سبب عدم شمول عام ١٩٩٧ بالتقديرات.
