151. The Committee expressed concern about laws which still contained discriminatory provisions, and about situations in which women were at a disadvantage compared to men, which contradicted the clear advances achieved in democracy and economic development in the State party.

24. The Committee strongly recommends that the State party undertake a comprehensive review of the situation of women in all aspects of life, as members of the family, in the workforce and as public servants, in order to assess those situations in which women are at a disadvantage and to develop appropriate laws and policies to address their inequality.
24- وتوصي اللجنة بقوة بأن تجري الدولة الطرف دراسة شاملة لحالة المرأة في جميع جوانب الحياة، بوصفها فرداً في الأسرة، وفي القوى العاملة، وفي الخدمة العمومية، بغية تقييم الحالات التي تكون فيها المرأة متضررة، ووضع قوانين وسياسات عامة مناسبة للتصدي لعدم تساوي المرأة مع الرجل.

29. Discrimination, power imbalances, unequal opportunities and violations of human rights, including violence inside and outside the home, make women and girls more vulnerable to HIV, for example, by creating an environment in which women are unable to negotiate when and how they have sex.

12. CEDAW recommended that Azerbaijan adopt temporary special measures in various forms in areas in which women are underrepresented or disadvantaged and allocate additional resources where needed to accelerate the advancement of women.
12- وتوصي اللجنة المعنية بالقضاء على التمييز ضد المرأة بأن تتخذ أذربيجان تدابير خاصة مؤقتة بأشكال مختلفة في المجالات التي تكون فيها المرأة ممثَّلة تمثيلاً ناقصاً أو محرومة، وبأن تخصص موارد إضافية عند الحاجة للتعجيل بالنهوض بالمرأة(37).

CEDAW encouraged Turkmenistan to adopt temporary special measures in all areas in which women are underrepresented or disadvantaged, with CESCR specifically referring to the adoption of such measures in the labour market and higher education.
وشجعت اللجنة المذكورة تركمانستان على اعتماد تدابير خاصة مؤقتة في جميع المجالات التي تكون فيها المرأة ممثلة تمثيلاً ناقصاً أو في وضع مجحف(53)، وأشارت اللجنة المعنية بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية على وجه التحديد إلى اعتماد هذه التدابير في سوق العمل والتعليم العالي(54).

(أ) أن يستمر في وضع استراتيجيات توظيف مبتكرة لتحديد واجتذاب المرشحات المؤهلات تأهيلا مناسبا، وخصوصا من البلدان النامية والبلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقالية، والدول الأعضاء الأخرى غير الممثلة أو الممثلة تمثيلا ناقصا في الأمانة العامة، وفي الوظائف التي تكون فيها المرأة ممثلة تمثيلا ناقصا؛

At a later stage, a thorough review of the Project will be conducted by UNHCR and the lessons learned will be incorporated into its operational activities in other countries where women are at high risk of physical abuse.
وفي مرحلة لاحقة سيضطلع مكتب المفوض السامي باستعراض كامل للمشروع وسيتم إدراج الدروس المستخلصة منه في أنشطته التنفيذية في البلدان اﻷخرى التي تكون فيها المرأة شديدة التعرض لخطر اﻹيذاء الجسدي.
