15. The COP, by its decision 13/COP.9, paragraph 2, requested the secretariat together with the Global Mechanism (GM) to use an iterative process to develop proposals in order to refine the set of performance and impact indicators and associated methodologies.

By its decision 17/COP.9, paragraph 4, the COP requested the secretariat, under the guidance of the Bureau of the CST and using an iterative process, to develop proposals for consideration by future sessions of the COP commencing with its eleventh session to refine the set of impact indicators and associated methodologies.

23. Under the CST, the iterative process to refine the set of impact indicators for assessing progress in meeting strategic objectives 1 - 3 advanced.

3. In the same decision, the COP requested the secretariat, under the guidance of the Bureau of the CST and using an iterative process, to develop proposals for consideration at future sessions of the COP commencing with its eleventh session, to refine the set of impact indicators and associated methodologies, taking account of:
