I have the honour to bring to your attention the attached report of the United Nations fact-finding mission on the prevailing situation between Djibouti and Eritrea.

وإذ يقرر أن الحالة في الصومال وما تتخذه إريتريا من إجراءات تقوض جهود إحلال السلام وتحقيق المصالحة في الصومال والنـزاع القائم بين جيبوتي وإريتريا لا تزال تشكل خطرا يهدد السلام والأمن الدوليين في المنطقة،

That led to the stationing of Qatari troops on the border between Djibouti and Eritrea and the withdrawal of Eritrean troops from the Djibouti territory they had illegally occupied.

10. Most of the border between Djibouti and Eritrea was never officially demarcated.

22. Before the African Union mission, the League of Arab States had dispatched its own fact-finding mission to Djibouti and Eritrea, in early May.
