Several multi-country programmes with a focus on one or more trade-related disciplines were implemented, for instance the programme " ACCESS for African Businesswomen in International Trade " , which addressed the particular constraints of African businesswomen by means of enhancing their access to a package of trade support services.

For this purpose, ITC pursues five corporate goals, namely: (a) facilitating the integration of enterprises into the multilateral trading system; (b) supporting the design of trade development strategies; (c) strengthening key trade support services, both public and private; (d) improving sector performance; and (e) building enterprise competitiveness.
