While a salvage team belonging to the Iraqi Ports Authority was at the entry to the Shatt al-Arab channel examining the submerged crane Antarah with a view to refloating it, the team was subjected to armed intimidation by an Iranian patrol which demanded that it should leave the location and refused to allow it to work.
أثناء قيام فريق عمل اﻹنقاذ البحري التابع للمنشأة العامة للموانئ العراقية بالكشف على الرافعة الغارقة )عنترة( في مدخل قناة شط العرب، لغرض تعويمها، تعرض الفريق للتهديد المسلح من قبل دورية إيرانية مسلحة وطالبتهم بمغادرة الموقع وعدم السماح لهم بالعمل.

The Iranians seized Iraqi launch 5610/Basrah, the property of Khaz`al Kazim Muhsin, in the area of the outer boom of the Shatt al-Arab channel near the sunken crane Antarah after four armed Iranian military craft had fired on it. The launch and its crew of eight Iraqis are still being held by the Iranians.
قام الجانب الإيراني باحتجاز اللنج العراقي المرقم (5610 - بصرة) العائدة ملكيته للمواطن (خزعل كاظم محسن) في منطقة السد الخارجي لقناة شط العرب بالقرب من الرافعة الغارقة (عنترة) حيث قامت أربعة زوارق عسكرية إيرانية مسلحة بإطلاق النار عليهم وما زال اللنج وطاقمه المؤلف من (8) أشخاص عراقيين محتجزين لدى الجانب العراقي.
