308. While noting that the State party has been cooperating with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Committee is concerned that the State party has yet to enact legislation on asylum matters and to introduce an asylumdetermination procedure.

While noting the acknowledgement of the State party of " the acute nature of the problem of violence against women in Haiti " , the Committee is concerned that up to now there is no specific legislation criminalizing violence against women, including domestic violence, although it notes the State party's plan to draft such a law in the course of the year 2009.

(25) While the Committee notes that all police interrogations have to be documented in writing, it is concerned that, at present, police interrogations are neither audio nor video recorded, with the exception of interviews with victims of sexual crimes (arts. 2, 11, 12 and 16).
