1. the SBSTA noted the importance of the following elements in relation to its programme of work initiated under decision 2/CP.13:

(e) the SBSTA noted with appreciation the reports provided by the WMO in response to its requests at its fourth and fifth sessions, which covered the following subjects:

(a) the SBSTA noted the need for the provision of technical inputs to its work on methodological and technological issues.

At its 3rd meeting, on 6 November, the SBI noted that the secretariat had taken note of the difficulties mentioned and had undertaken to address them in consultation with the delegations concerned in the contexts of the specific circumstances.
