In accordance with General Assembly resolution 68/211, an Open-ended Intergovernmental Preparatory Committee for the Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction was established to review the organizational and substantive preparations for the Conference, approve the programme of work of the Conference, and propose rules of procedure for adoption by the Conference.

1. In accordance with General Assembly resolution 68/211 of 20 December 2013, the Preparatory Committee for the Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction held its second session from 17 to 18 November 2014 at the United Nations Office, Geneva.
١- وفقاً لقرار الجمعية العامة 68/211 المؤرخ 20 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2013، عقدت اللجنة التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي الثالث المعني بالحد من أخطار الكوارث دورتها الثانية يومي 17 و18 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2014 في مكتب الأمم المتحدة بجنيف.

2. The first session of the Preparatory Committee for the Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction was opened at the United Nations Office at Geneva on Monday 14 July 2014 by the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction as temporary chair.
2- افتتح الممثل الخاص للأمين العام المعني بالحد من أخطار الكوارث، بوصفه رئيساً مؤقتاً للمؤتمر، الدورة الأولى للجنة التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي الثالث المعني بالحد من أخطار الكوارث في مكتب الأمم المتحدة بجنيف، يوم الاثنين 14 تموز/يوليه 2014.

2. The second session of the Preparatory Committee for the Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction was opened at the United Nations Office at Geneva on 17 November 2014 by the co-Chair, His Excellency Thani Thongphakdi (Thailand).
٢- افتتح الرئيس المشارك، سعادة السيد تاني تونغباكدي (تايلند)، الدورة الثانية للجنة التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي الثالث المعني بالحد من أخطار الكوارث، في مكتب الأمم المتحدة بجنيف، في 17 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2014.

Among those are, in particular, the preparatory processes for the Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, the third International Conference on Financing for Development, the second United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, and the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III).
