The Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations has the honour to inform the Secretary-General that the State of Qatar has no views or comments on this resolution and believes that the views and opinions of the Mediterranean countries should be taken in consideration as they are the concerned countries in this respect in accordance with the respective terms of the above-mentioned resolution.

The Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations presents its compliments to the Secretariat and, pursuant to Security Council resolution 1533 (2004), has the honour to enclose herewith the report requested in paragraph 9 of the above-mentioned resolution (see annex).

14. In reality, Mr. Benyamina, who had been implicated in extremely serious acts of terrorism, could not benefit from the termination of criminal proceedings but only from a commutation or remission of the sentence after the verdict, in application of articles 18 to 20 of the aforementioned Order.
14- والواقع أنه لم يكن يجوز أن يستفيد السيد بنيامينة، الذي كان ضالعاً في أعمال إرهابية بالغة الخطورة، من سقوط الدعوى العامة وإنَّما من تخفيف عقوبته أو إعفائه منها بعد محاكمته تطبيقاً للمواد 18 إلى 20 من القرار السالف الذكر.

The purpose of the above act was the establishment of the organization and function of CONAPINA and the office of the Ombudsman for children and adolescents.
