Since the last report on Agenda 21, the Programme for the Further Implementation of Agenda 21 and the outcomes of the World Summit on Sustainable Development1 and as at the time of submission of the present report, one intersessional meeting and two meetings of the Preparatory Committee have taken place.

In addition, ministerial meetings of the Group of 77 and China, the Least Developed Countries and the Landlocked Developing Countries, and two meetings of the Civil Society Forum, were held in conjunction with the Conference and transmitted declarations to the Conference (see annexes II - V). At its closing plenary meeting, on 25 April 2008, the Conference adopted the Accra Declaration and the Accra Accord (see chaps. I and II, respectively).
