Sri Lanka noted with satisfaction that the various UNCITRAL conventions and model laws were being applied in many countries, which was an indication that UNCITRAL was succeeding in harmonizing and unifying international trade law and thereby promoting a conducive environment for international trade.

32. Her delegation deeply appreciated the contribution which the Commission had made to the progressive harmonization and unification of international trade law.

11. The harmonization and unification of international trade law required active cooperation and coordination amongst rule-formulating organizations.

The Commission should expedite its working procedures so as to optimize the use of limited resources, which should be devoted principally to the work the Commission was mandated to do, namely to promote the harmonization and unification of international trade law.

By promoting the progressive standardization and unification of international trade law, the Commission was effectively contributing to multilateral cooperation and helping to eliminate obstacles to international trade, while taking the interests of developing countries into account.
وبالترويج للتقدُّم في وضع معايير نموذجية وتوحيد القانون التجاري الدولي فإن الأونسيترال تساهم بفعالية في التعاون الدولي المتعدد الأطراف وتساعد على إزالة العوائق التجارية الدولية، مع مراعاة مصالح الدول النامية.

23. Coordination and cooperation among relevant international organizations were essential to the harmonization and unification of international trade law.
23 - ثم أكد على الأهمية الفائقة للتنسيق والتعاون فيما بين المنظمات الدولية ذات الصلة من أجل مواءمة وتوحيد القانون التجاري الدولي.

33. Mr. Bazinas (International Trade Law Division) expressed his delight that the Commission remained a body mandated to harmonize and unify international trade law by resolving practical issues where there were specific problems that it could address within a reasonable time frame.
