In accordance with INCD decision 10/10, taken at the Committee's tenth session, the Secretariat solicited proposals for the undertaking of a survey and evaluation of existing networks, institutions, agencies and bodies willing to become units of a network to support the implementation of the Convention in accordance with its article 25.

1. Pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 1 of Article 25 of the Convention to Combat Desertification (CCD), the Committee on Science and Technology is to make provision for undertaking a survey and evaluation of relevant existing networks, institutions, agencies and bodies willing to become units of a network to support implementation of the CCD.
١- تقضي أحكام الفقرة ١ من المادة ٥٢ من اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر بأن تقوم لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا بوضع ترتيبات ﻹجراء استقصاء وتقييم للشبكات والمؤسسات والوكالات والهيئات القائمة ذات الصلة التي ترغب في أن تصبح وحدات في شبكة لدعم تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

(d) Development of an action plan for a follow-up programme on renewable energy in support of wireless application with the United Nations and private sector partners and a network to support the use of such technology in developing countries.
(د) وضع خطة عمل لبرنامج لمتابعة الطاقة المتجددة لدعم التطبيقات اللاسلكية مع شركاء في الأمم المتحدة وفي القطاع الخاص وإنشاء شبكة لدعم استخدام هذه التكنولوجيا في البلدان النامية.

(f) Preparing groundwork for the follow-up programme on renewable energy in support of wireless applications to develop projects and establish a network to support the deployment of such technology in developing countries.
(و) إعداد العمل التمهيدي لبرنامج متابعة الطاقة المتجددة لدعم التطبيقات اللاسلكية لإعداد المشاريع وإنشاء شبكة لدعم عملية نشر هذه التكنولوجيا في البلدان النامية.

In accordance with article 25 of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), the CST was to undertake a survey and evaluation of relevant existing networks, institutions, agencies and bodies willing to become units of a network to support the implementation of the Convention.
1- وفقا للمادة 25 من اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر، تقوم لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا بإجراء استقصاء وتقييم للشبكات والمؤسسات والوكالات والهيئات القائمة ذات الصلة التي ترغب في أن تصبح وحدات في شبكة لدعم تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

27. In accordance with the requirements of article 25 of the Convention and with its decision 23/COP.1, the Conference of the Parties will have before it the report of the Committee on Science and Technology on the survey and evaluation of relevant existing networks, institutions, agencies and bodies willing to become units of a network to support implementation of the Convention (ICCD/COP(3)/CST/4).
27- ووفقا لمقتضيات المادة 25 من الاتفاقية والمقرر 23/م أ-1، سيعرض على مؤتمر الأطراف تقرير لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا عن استقصاء وتقييم الشبكات والمؤسسات والوكالات والهيئات القائمة المعنية التي ترغب في أن تصبح وحدات في شبكة لدعم تنفيذ الاتفاقية (ICCD/COP(3)/CST/4).

5. Under article 25 of the Convention, the Committee on Science and Technology (CST) shall, under the supervision of the COP, provide for the undertaking of a survey and evaluation of relevant existing networks, institutions, agencies and bodies willing to become units of a network to support implementation of the Convention.
5- تنص المادة 25 من الاتفاقية على أن تقوم لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، تحت إشراف مؤتمر الأطراف، بوضع ترتيبات لإجراء استقصاء وتقييم للشبكات والمؤسسات والوكالات والهيئات القائمة ذات الصلة التي ترغب في أن تصبح وحدات في شبكة تدعم تنفيذ الاتفاقية.
