In addition, within the approved level of resources in the support account, the Department of Peacekeeping Operations provides backstopping for the two special political missions, UNAMA and UNAMIS, for which the Department has substantive responsibility, and the full range of administrative and logistical support services to the 11 special political missions managed by the Department of Political Affairs.
