1. In accordance with Commission on Human Rights resolution 2001/41 of 23 April 2001, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights held an expert seminar on the interdependence between democracy and human rights on 25 and 26 November 2002 in Geneva.

22. In paragraphs 37 and 65 of the report on its fourth session, the Permanent Forum recommended that the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) and OHCHR should analyse the housing situation of the world's indigenous peoples and recommended the holding of an expert seminar on the rights of indigenous peoples to adequate housing.

On 24 February 2014, the High Commissioner delivered a keynote presentation at an expert seminar on " The right to privacy in the digital age " , which was co-sponsored by Austria, Brazil, Germany, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Norway and Switzerland, and facilitated by the Geneva Academy on International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
