With regard to the environment, which is the subject of Millennium Goal 7, the participation of more than 115 heads of State and Government at the Conference of the States Parties to the Framework Convention on Climate Change held in Copenhagen in December 2009 demonstrated the attention and importance attached to an issue as complex as the climate on the international agenda.
أما فيما يتعلق بالبيئة، موضوع الهدف 7 من الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية، فمشاركة أكثر من 115 رئيس دولة وحكومة في مؤتمر الدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ الذي انعقد في كوبنهاغن في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2009، إنما تبرز أهمية هذه المسألة المعقدة في جدول الأعمال الدولي.

In view of the multitude of existing and planned anti-corruption initiatives of many development agencies, multilateral development banks, major multilateral donors and funding institutions, the Secretariat has encouraged the participation of heads of development agencies, as well as of the United Nations Development Programme and multilateral development banks at the Conference of the States Parties.
ونظرا لتعدد المبادرات في مجال مكافحة الفساد التي وضعها وخطّط لها العديد من الوكالات الإنمائية والمصارف الإنمائية المتعددة الأطراف والجهات المانحة المتعددة الأطراف الأساسية والمؤسسات التمويلية، شجّعت الأمانة رؤساء الوكالات الإنمائية وكذلك برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي والمصارف الإنمائية المتعددة الأطراف على المشاركة في مؤتمر الدول الأطراف.
