Within the framework of the Secretariat-General's monitoring of the current crisis between the Republic of the Sudan and the Republic of Chad, I received the Chadian Minister of Transport on 1 January 2006 and affirmed the necessity of ending the tense situation between the two sisterly States and that the League of Arab States is working with the African Union to overcome this emergency.
169 - وفي إطار متابعة الأمانة العامة للأزمة الراهنة بين جمهورية السودان وجمهورية تشاد، استقبلت وزير النقل التشادي في 1/1/2006، وأكدت على ضرورة إنهاء الوضع المتوتر بين الدولتين الشقيقتين، وأن الجامعة العربية تعمل مع الاتحاد الأفريقي لتجاوز هذه الأزمة الطارئة.

Moreover, with the Governments focusing exclusively on the South Sudan conflict, no progress has been made in the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of the Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan of 27 September 2012, which provides for the establishment of the Joint Border Verification and Monitoring Mechanism.
وعلاوة على ذلك، ونظراً لتركيز الحكومة حصراً على الصراع الدائر في جنوب السودان، لم يحرَز أي تقدم في تنفيذ اتفاق التعاون بين جمهورية السودان وجمهورية جنوب السودان بتاريخ 27 أيلول/سبتمبر 2012، الذي ينص على إنشاء الآلية المشتركة لرصد الحدود والتحقق منها.

On that occasion, the African Union High-level Implementation Panel presented to the two Governments a six-point " joint decision for the reduction of tension between the Republic of the Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan " .

On the issue of refugees, the Standing Advisory Committee welcomed the continued collaboration between the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), to stabilize the situation in the north of the Republic of the Congo.
