Mr. Perera (Sri Lanka), referring to the progress made by the Study Group on the most-favoured nation (MFN) clause, said that his delegation attached considerable importance to its work, which aimed to provide greater certainty and stability in the field of investment law by addressing the post-Maffezini inconsistency of arbitral jurisprudence on the scope of MFN clauses in bilateral investment treaties.
