Also, this year the Coordinator of the Steering Committee for the Sponsorship Programme has written to each of the sponsored delegates, which are from States not yet party to the CCW, to ask what progress their governments have made on universalization.

23. At the same plenary meeting, the Meeting of the High Contracting Parties considered a report by the Coordinator of the Steering Committee of the Sponsorship Programme within the framework of the Convention, Ambassador Edvardas Borisovas of Lithuania, on the work of the Programme's Steering Committee.

Since then the Coordinator of the Steering Committee each year has sent similar letters to the States Parties and called for contributions as part of the presentation of the Sponsorship Programme's annual report.
