The Conference of African Ministers responsible for Economic and Social Development and Planning shall have the following functions:

39. The Conference of Ministers responsible for Economic and Social Development and Planning also adopted the resolutions and decisions summarized below.

14.5 This programme structure is based on and reflects the priorities in the new Strategic Directions for ECA, adopted by the Conference of Ministers responsible for Economic and Social Development and Planning in 1996.

It also requested the Executive Secretary of the Commission to make recommendations to the regular session of the Conference of Ministers responsible for Economic and Social Development and Planning in 1998 for a final decision on the status of the Conference of African Ministers responsible for sustainable development and environment vis-à-vis the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment.

It was in this context that, during its reform process, ECA recognized these realities and, at its initiative, the Conference of African ministers responsible for Economic and Social Development and Planning adopted the African Information Society Initiative (AISI).

16A.13 The Conference of African Ministers of Finance is convened biennially, in alternate years to the meetings of the Conference of African Ministers responsible for Economic and Social Development and Planning (the Commission).
16 ألف - 13 يعقد مؤتمر وزراء المالية الأفارقة اجتماعاته كل سنتين، وذلك في السنوات التي لا ينعقد فيها مؤتمر الوزراء الأفارقة المسؤولين عن التنمية والتخطيط في المجال الاقتصادي والاجتماعي (اللجنة).

The new strategic orientations were endorsed by the twenty-second Meeting of the Conference of Ministers Responsible for Economic and Social Development and Planning at its annual session in May 1996.
وأقرت التوجهات الاستراتيجية الجديدة من جانب الاجتماع ٢٢ لمؤتمر الوزراء المسؤولين عن التنمية والتخطيط في الميدانين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في دورته السنوية التي عقدت في أيار/مايو ١٩٩٦.
