The request for a subvention to UNIDIR for the biennium 2010-2011 is presented by the Secretary-General in accordance with section IV, paragraph 2, of resolution 60/248, in which the General Assembly endorsed the proposal that the request for a subvention to UNIDIR be submitted for review and approval by the Assembly on a biennial basis in the context of its consideration of the proposed programme budget for the related biennium.

(b) Also decides that any additional resources, as might be necessary, would be reported in the context of the second performance report on the programme budget for the biennium 2006-2007; and further, that continuing requirements relating to the activities mandated under the terms of the draft resolution, if adopted, would be considered in the context of the proposed programme budgets for the related biennium.
