203. The Committee recommends that the State party pursue its efforts to protect children from information and material injurious to their wellbeing.

:: Article 17 of the Convention, which enjoins States Parties to encourage the development of appropriate guidelines for the protection of children from information and material injurious to their well-being; and

502. The Committee encourages the State party to ensure that children are protected from information and material harmful to their well-being, in conformity to article 17 (e) of the Convention.

In light of articles 13, 17 and 18 of the Convention, it further encourages the State party to develop appropriate guidelines and legislation for the protection of the child from information and material injurious to his or her development, in particular violence and pornography, and also to develop programmes to educate parents.
كذلك تشجع اللجنة الدولة الطرف، في ضوء المواد 13 و17 و18 من الاتفاقية، على أن تضع المبادئ التوجيهية وتسن التشريعات المناسبة لحماية الطفل من المعلومات والمواد التي تضر بنموه، وبخاصة ما يتعلق بالعنف والمواد الإباحية، وأن تضع أيضا برامج لتثقيف الوالدين.

The Committee recommends that the State party consider adopting specific legislation and develop mechanisms and appropriate guidelines to protect children from information and material injurious to their well-being.
37- توصي اللجنة بأن تنظر الدولة الطرف في اعتماد تشريعات محددة ووضع آليات ومبادئ توجيهية مناسبة لحماية الأطفال من المعلومات والمواد المسيئة لهم.

38. The Committee recommends that the State party consider adopting specific legislation and develop mechanisms, guidelines and programmes for parents and children to protect them from information and material injurious to their well-being such as violence and pornography.
38- توصي اللجنة بأن تنظر الدولة الطرف في اعتماد تشريعات محددة وإيجاد آليات ومبادئ توجيهية وبرامج من أجل الوالدين والأطفال بغية حمايتهم من المعلومات والمواد الضارة بسلامتهم مثل العنف والمواد الإباحية.

To that end, the media will endeavour, with the encouragement of the State, to disseminate information and material of social and cultural benefit to children. The State will also encourage the production and dissemination of children's books and encourage the mass media to have particular regard to the linguistic needs of the child and the protection of the child from information and material injurious to his or her well-being.
لذلك ستسعى هذه الوسائل وبدعم الدولة على نشر المعلومات والمواد ذات المنفعة الاجتماعية والثقافية للطفل وتشجيع إصدار الكتب الخاصة بالأطفال ونشرها وتحفيز وسائل الإعلام على إبداء عناية خاصة بالاحتياجات اللغوية للطفل وتوجيهه ووقايته من المعلومات والمواد التي تضر بمصالحه.

The Committee recommends that, on an urgent basis, measures be taken to ensure the protection of the child from information and material injurious to his or her well-being and to protect the child's right to privacy, in the light of the provisions of articles 16 and 17 of the Convention.
٥٤٢ - وتوصي اللجنة بالمبادرة على سبيل الاستعجال إلى اتخاذ تدابير لضمان وقاية الطفل من المعلومات والمواد التي تضر بصالحه ولحماية حق الطفل في احترام خصوصياته، في ضوء أحكام المادتين ٦١ و ٧١ من الاتفاقية.

This particular problem is raised in article 17 of the Convention which recommends that appropriate guidelines be developed " for the protection of the child from information and material injurious to his or her well-being " .
وقد أثيرت هذه المشكلة بعينها في المادة ٧١ من الاتفاقية وهي المادة التي توصي بوضع مبادئ توجيهية ملائمة " لوقاية الطفل من المعلومات والمواد التي تضر بصالحه " .

615. In light of articles 13 and 17 of the Convention, the Committee is concerned that the quality and quantity of printed information, including children's books, available to children have decreased in recent years, while at the same time there is a lack of mechanisms to protect children from information and material injurious to their well-being.

31. States parties are required under article 17 (e) to develop appropriate guidelines for the protection of the child from information and material injurious to his or her well-being.

(a) Develop, in consultation with the media, appropriate guidelines for the protection of children from information and material harmful to their well-being, as well as a code of conduct for the media;

(b) Develop, in consultation with the media, appropriate guidelines for the protection of children from information and material injurious to their well-being and encourage voluntary codes of conduct by the media; and
(ب) تضع، بالتشاور مع وسائط الإعلام، مبادئ توجيهية مناسبة لحماية الأطفال من المعلومات والمواد التي تضر بسلامتهم، وتشجع وسائط الإعلام على وضع مدونات طوعية لقواعد السلوك؛
