At the eighth session of the Permanent Forum, Mr. Id Balkassm and Ms. Hasteh presented a concept paper outlining the framework for the study (E/C.19/2009/5).

48. Ms. Hasteh (Islamic Republic of Iran) said that widespread cultivation of opium poppy and production of opiates and heroin in Afghanistan had caused many social and economic problems for her country, where illicit drugs were banned.
48 - السيدة هاستيه (جمهورية إيران الإسلامية): قالت إن الانتشار الواسع لزراعة خشخاش الأفيون وإنتاج المواد الأفيونية والهيرويين في أفغانستان سبب كثيرا من المشاكل الاجتماعية والاقتصادية في بلدها، حيث المخدرات غير المشروعة محظورة.

Further, the Permanent Forum requested Mr. Id Balkassm and Ms. Hasteh to provide the Permanent Forum with an outline of the study at its eighth session and a report thereon at its ninth session.
وكذلك طلب المنتدى الدائم إلى السيد عيد بلقاسم والسيدة هاسته تزويد المنتدى في دورته الثامنة بمخطط للدراسة وبتقرير عنها في دورته التاسعة.
