We believe that the international community should take a clear and firm position in dealing with these measures. It should also take a bolder and more courageous stance to meet the challenge posed by coercive measures, as they represent a violation of the rules of international law and of the Charter of the United Nations.

7. The position of Venezuela is consistent with the almost unanimous rejection by the international community of the promulgation and application of unilateral and extraterritorial coercive measures of this kind, which are a clear violation of the fundamental principles of international law and of the Charter of the United Nations.
7 - ويتفق موقف فنـزويلا مع الرفض شبه الإجماعي من جانب المجتمع الدولي لسن وفرض تدابير قسرية أحادية ومتجاوزة الحدود الإقليمية من هذا النوع، مما يشكّل انتهاكا واضحا للمبادئ الأساسية التي يرتكز إليها القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة.

إن النزعة اﻷحادية لفرض إجراءات قسرية تشكل انتهاكا صارخا وبيﱢنا ﻷحكام القانون الدولي ومبادئ ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة، وانتقاصا لحق كافة اﻷمم في تحديد وتبنّي خياراتها السياسية واﻹنمائية.
