14. Most speakers welcomed the successful conclusion of the Ninth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization held in Bali, Indonesia, and several recalled that this should be a step in the direction of ensuring the development benefits of the Doha Round, especially for LDCs.
14 - ورحب معظم المتحدثين باختتام المؤتمر الوزاري التاسع لمنظمة التجارة العالمية، المعقود في بالي بإندونيسيا، بنجاح وأشار عدد منهم إلى أن ذلك ينبغي أن يشكل خطوة باتجاه ضمان الفوائد الإنمائية لجولة الدوحة، ولا سيما فيما يخص أقل البلدان نمواً.

23. The outcome of the Ninth Ministerial Conference was important first and foremost for regenerating confidence in the multilateral trading system and paving the way for a sober reflection on how to proceed with multilateral negotiations.

16. The Committee, at its ninth ministerial meeting, agreed to carry out a number of programmes and activities for the remainder of 1997 and into early 1998.
