6. Article 26, paragraph 1 of the Convention, on procedures for communication of information, provides that each Party shall communicate to the COP at its ordinary sessions, through the permanent secretariat, reports on the measures which it has taken for the implementation of the Convention.

39. Pursuant to paragraph 1 (vii) of the terms of reference of the CRIC and in the light of decisions 1/COP.6 and 4/COP.6, the CRIC shall also consider ways and means of improving procedures for communication of information, as well as the quality and format of reports to be submitted to the COP.
39- عملاً بالفقرة 1`7` من اختصاصات لجنـة استعـراض تنفيـذ الاتفاقية، وعلى ضوء المقررين 1/م أ-6 و4/م أ-6، تنظر لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية أيضاً في السُبل والوسائل الكفيلة بتحسين الإجراءات الخاصة بإرسال المعلومات فضلاً عن تحسين نوعية وشكل التقارير التي تقدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف.

By its decision 13/COP.9 on improving the procedures for communication of information as well as the quality and format of reports to be submitted to the Conference of the Parties (COP), the COP decided that the relevant activity codes (RACs) should be regularly updated by the Global Mechanism (GM) and published on its website.

3. Decision 11/COP.1 determined the procedures for communication of information and the submission of reports. It provides guidance on the format and content of reports and the timetable for their submission by Parties.
