In this connection, the Advisory Committee recalls that, in the context of its consideration of the programme budget implications of the Secretary-General's statement contained in document A/C.5/46/77, the Committee had recommended an additional appropriation of $180,000 for UNAFRI under section 23 of the proposed programme budget for the biennium 1992-1993 subject to the procedures for the use and operation of the contingency fund.
