Although most of the emergency assistance operations have been completed, ongoing activities continue to take account of the special economic problems of the affected countries.

2. Reaffirms the need for a continuing concerted response from the international community to deal in a more effective manner with the special economic problems of the affected States in the period following the lifting of the sanctions in view of their magnitude and of the adverse impact of the sanctions on the economy of those States;
٢ - تؤكد من جديد الحاجة إلى استمرار الاستجابة المنسقة من جانب المجتمع الدولي للتصدي بمزيد من الفعالية للمشاكل الاقتصادية الخاصة للدول المتضررة في الفترة التالية لرفع الجزاءات بالنظر إلى جسامتها وإلى اﻷثر الضار للجزاءات على اقتصاد تلك الدول؛

The Assembly also requested the Secretary-General to continue to seek, on a regular basis, information from States, regional organizations and the concerned organs and agencies of the United Nations system on action taken to alleviate the special economic problems of the affected States in the period following the lifting of the sanctions, and to submit a report on the implementation of the resolution to the Assembly at its fifty-second session.
وطلبت الجمعية أيضا إلى اﻷمين العام أن يواصل السعي بانتظام للحصول على معلومات من الدول والمنظمات اﻹقليمية واﻷجهزة والوكالات المعنية التابعة لمنظومة اﻷمم المتحدة بشأن اﻹجراءات المتخذة للتخفيف من المشاكل الاقتصادية الخاصة لتلك الدول في الفترة التالية لرفع الجزاءات، وأن يقدم تقريرا عن تنفيذ هذا القرار إلى الجمعية في دورتها الثانية والخمسين، وقد تم إعداد هذا التقرير استجابة لذلك الطلب.
