Morocco, through the CRTS, has been a member of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) since October 1996 and a member of the International Space University (ISU) since May 1996. The CRTS is currently the ISU liaison office in Morocco and the region.

It was noted that the International Space University had applied for observer status with the Committee and that the related correspondence and statutes of that non-governmental organization had been circulated at the thirty-fourth session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee for the information of States members of the Committee.
٥٦١ - أحيط علما بأن جامعة الفضاء الدولية قد تقدمت بطلب للحصول على مركز مراقب لدى اللجنة، وأنه تم تعميم المراسلات المتعلقة بذلك والنظام اﻷساسي لهذه المنظمة غير الحكومية، أثناء الدورة الرابعة والثلاثين للجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية، ﻹعلام الدول اﻷعضاء في اللجنة.

The Committee decided to grant permanent observer status to the International Space University on the understanding that, in accordance with the agreement of the Committee at its thirty-third session concerning observer status for non-governmental organizations, the organization would apply for consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
٦٦١ - وقررت اللجنة منح جامعة الفضاء الدولية مركز مراقب دائم، على أساس أنه، وفقا لاتفاق اللجنة إبان دورتها الثالثة والثلاثين بخصوص منح المنظمات غير الحكومية مركز مراقب، سوف تتقدم المنظمة المذكورة بطلب للحصول على مركز استشاري لدى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي التابع لﻷمم المتحدة.

In this area, particular success has been achieved in promoting cooperation with a number of higher educational establishments in the Russian Federation and with the International Space University and the Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific.
