In paragraph 10 of the same resolution, the General Assembly requested the executive heads of United Nations organizations and programmes to submit an action-oriented report to the General Assembly at its forty-eighth session, outlining steps to be taken in response to the recommendations of the Board of Auditors, including timetables for their implementation.

Stressing the importance of efficient resource management in all United Nations organizations and programmes,

In its resolution 48/216 B of 23 December 1993, the General Assembly urged the executive heads of a number of United Nations organizations and programmes to comply fully with paragraphs 9 and 10 of its resolution 47/211.
٢ - وفي القرار ٤٨/٢١٦ باء المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣، حثت الجمعية العامة الرؤساء التنفيذيين لعدد من منظمات وبرامج اﻷمم المتحدة على الامتثال الكامل ﻷحكام الفقرتين ٩ و ١٠ من قرارها ٤٧/٢١١.

6. The United Nations Board of Auditors are the external auditors of UNFPA as well as the auditors of the United Nations regional economic commissions and other United Nations organizations and programmes that execute projects funded by UNFPA. These are as follows:

The Integrated Mission Task Force, also established for the first time, met daily to link the activities of United Nations organizations and programmes with the work of the Special Representative of the Secretary General.
كذلك أُنشئت للمرة الأولى فرقة عمل البعثة المتكاملة واجتمعت يوميا للربط بين أنشطة مؤسسات الأمم المتحدة وبرامجها وعمل الممثل الخاص للأمين العام.

Reiterates its request to the executive heads of the United Nations organizations and programmes to submit reports on measures taken or to be taken in response to the recommendations of the Board of Auditors, including timetables for their implementation, to the General Assembly at its resumed forty-eighth session, through the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions;
٥ - تكرر تأكيد طلبها من الرؤساء التنفيذيين لمنظمات اﻷمم المتحدة وبرامجها تقديم تقارير عن التدابير المتخذة أو التي ستتخذ استجابة لتوصيات مجلس مراجعي الحسابات، بما في ذلك جداول زمنية لتنفيذها، الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين المستأنفة، من خلال اللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون الادارة والميزانية؛

2. Takes note of the United Nations system accounting standards contained in the annex to the report of the Secretary-General, and requests the Secretary-General and the executive heads of the United Nations organizations and programmes to take those standards into account in the preparation of their financial statements for the period ending 31 December 1993;
٢ - تحيط علما بمعايير المحاسبة لمنظومة اﻷمم المتحدة الواردة في مرفق تقرير اﻷمين العام، وتطلب من اﻷمين العام والرؤساء التنفيذيين لمنظمات اﻷمم المتحدة وبرامجها أخذ تلك المعايير في الاعتبار عند إعداد بياناتهم المالية عن الفترة المنتهية في ٣١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣؛

That programme includes specific project proposals from various United Nations organizations and programmes amounting to $489 million.

3. Notes with deep concern that, with a few commendable exceptions, most United Nations organizations and programmes have taken no steps to address the requests contained in paragraphs 9 and 10 of its resolution 47/211;

The Board has indicated that in respect of the United Nations organizations and programmes listed above, it will not issue a separate audit opinion on the programme expenditures and programme support costs funded by UNFPA.
