Rule 80 of the rules of procedure of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and rule 76 of the rules of procedure of the Trade and Development Board provide for the participation of intergovernmental bodies whose activities are relevant to UNCTAD's functions in the deliberations of the Conference, the Board and its subsidiary organs.

Non-governmental organizations invited to the Rome Conference, registered to the Preparatory Commission for the International Criminal Court, or having consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations whose activities are relevant to the activities of the Court and other non-governmental organizations invited by the Assembly may, through their designated representatives:
يجوز للمنظمات غير الحكومية التي دعيت إلى مؤتمر روما، والمنظمات المعتمدة لدى اللجنة التحضيرية للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية، والمنظمات التي لها مركز استشاري لدى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للأمم المتحدة والتي تهم أنشطتها أنشطة المحكمة، والمنظمات غير الحكومية الأخرى التي دعتها الجمعية أن تقوم عن طريق ممثليها المعينين:

1. Representatives of non-governmental organizations having consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations whose activities are relevant to the activities of the Conference may apply to the bureau for observer status, which shall be accorded on the decision of the Conference.
1- يجوز لممثلي المنظمات غير الحكومية التي تتمتع بمركز استشاري لدى مجلس الأمم المتحدة الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والتي تكون لأنشطتها صلة بأنشطة المؤتمر أن يقدموا إلى المكتب طلبا للحصول على مركز مراقب، ويعطى لها هذا المركز بقرار من المؤتمر.

By paragraph 13 of resolution 56/85, the Assembly noted that non-governmental organizations invited to the Rome Conference, registered to the Preparatory Commission or having consultative status with the Economic and Social Council whose activities are relevant to the activities of the Court may also participate in the work of the Assembly of States Parties in accordance with agreed rules.
ولاحظت الجمعية، في الفقرة 13 من القرار 56/85، أن المنظمات غير الحكومية التي دُعيت إلى مؤتمر روما، والمسجلة لدى اللجنة التحضيرية أو ذات المركز الاستشاري لدى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، التي تقوم بأنشطة ذات صلة بأنشطة المحكمة، يجوز لها أيضا أن تشترك في أعمال جمعية الدول الأطراف وفقا للقواعد المتفق عليها.
