La Coalición no Gubernamental de Asia pro Reforma Agraria y Desarrollo Rural es una organización que abarca 24 redes regionales y nacionales e instituciones locales de 10 países asiáticos: Bangladesh, Filipinas, la India, Indonesia, el Japón, Malasia, Nepal, el Pakistán, Sri Lanka y Tailandia.
ائتلاف المنظمات اﻵسيوية غير الحكومية للاصلاح الزراعي والتنمية الريفية هو منظمة جامعة ينضوي تحت لوائها ٢٤ من الشبكات اﻹقليمية والوطنية والمؤسسات المحلية من عشرة بلدان في آسيا: إندونيسيا، باكستان، بنغلاديش، تايلند، سري لانكا، الفلبين، ماليزيا، نيبال، الهند واليابان.

Fue fundada en Bangkok en 1979, cuando un grupo de organizaciones no gubernamentales asiáticas celebraron consultas locales, nacionales y regionales para preparar la contribución de las organizaciones no gubernamentales a la Conferencia Mundial sobre Reforma Agraria y Desarrollo Rural.
وقد تأسس في بانكوك في عام ١٩٧٩ عندما أجرت مجموعة من المنظمات غير الحكومية اﻵسيوية مشاورات محلية وقطرية وإقليمية ﻹعداد مساهمة المنظمات غير الحكومية في المؤتمر العالمي لﻹصلاح الزراعي والتنمية الريفية.

A raíz de la Conferencia Mundial sobre Reforma Agraria y Desarrollo Rural de 1979, el concepto de la participación popular cobró un gran impulso entre los organismos donantes y las organizaciones internacionales.

Por ejemplo, la FAO ha incluido sistemáticamente a las organizaciones de pueblos indígenas de América Latina en debates de grupo en la Cumbre sobre Seguridad Alimentaria, las conferencias regionales de la FAO, la Conferencia Internacional sobre Reforma Agraria y Desarrollo Rural, el Comité de Seguridad Alimentaria y otras reuniones.

Desde 1979 la FAO ha hecho suyos los principios aprobados por la Conferencia Mundial sobre Reforma Agraria y Desarrollo Rural en los que se subrayaba la necesidad de un acceso equitativo a la tierra, el empleo y los servicios a fin de asegurar un desarrollo sostenible para todos y evitar la pobreza.
ومنظمة اﻷغذية والزراعة ملتزمة منذ عام ١٩٧٩ بالمبادئ التي أقرها المؤتمر العالمي للاصلاح الزراعي والتنمية الريفية، التي تؤكد على ضرورة تحقيق المساواة في امكانية الحصول على اﻷرض وعلى فرص العمل والخدمات لكفالة التنمية المستدامة للجميع ودرء الفقر.

67. Entre las conclusiones a la Conferencia Mundial sobre Reforma Agraria y Desarrollo Rural, figuran los siguientes puntos como cuestiones de importancia crítica para el acceso de la mujer a la tierra:
