At the time of writing, the statute of the International Criminal Court had been ratified by 46 and signed by 139 States.

The statute of the Tribunal requires that the President be elected from among the permanent judges and be a member of one of the Trial Chambers.
ويقضي النظام الأساسي لمحكمة رواندا أن ينتخب الرئيس من بين القضاة الدائمين وأن يكون عضوا في إحدى الدوائر الابتدائية.

This change would require an amendment to the statute of the Dispute Tribunal.

The Assembly may also consider amending article 6 of the statute of the Appeals Tribunal so that its rules of procedure will include a similar provision.
ويجوز أن تنظر الجمعية أيضا في تعديل المادة 6 من النظام الأساسي لمحكمة الاستئناف بحيث تدرج لائحتها حكما مماثلا.
