5. Since my last report, the Council has fulfilled the mandate entrusted to it by the General Assembly by adopting in resolution 5/1 its land-mark agreement on institution-building on 18 June 2007, one year after its inaugural meeting.

Research and policy analysis, consensus-building and technical cooperation should therefore be strengthened to enable UNCTAD to fully respond to the mandate entrusted to it by the United Nations General Assembly.

15. The Working Group recalled the mandate given by the Commission at its thirty-ninth session (New York, 19 June-7 July 2006) and set out above (see above paragraph 3).

In order to assist him in implementing the mandate entrusted to him by the Commission, the Special Rapporteur makes the following recommendations to Governments:

The Centre for Crime Prevention of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime expressed its willingness to provide legislative assistance to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in accordance with the mandate given to it by the Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee.
وقد أعرب المركز عن استعداده لتقديم مساعدة تشريعية لجمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية وفقا للولاية التي أسندتها إليه لجنة مجلس الأمن لمكافحة الإرهاب.

29. Notes that consensus emerged on certain issues while a wide divergence of opinions persisted in a number of other issues that prevented the Working Group from making recommendations on how to fully implement enhanced cooperation as contained in the Tunis Agenda, as stipulated in the mandate given to the Working Group by the General Assembly in resolution 67/195;

24.49 The High Commissioner is the United Nations official with principal responsibility for United Nations human rights activities, in accordance with the mandate entrusted to the High Commissioner by the General Assembly in resolution 48/141.
