Mr. Türkmen (Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA)), briefly reviewing what UNRWA had achieved in the previous year, said that the Agency had moved quickly to set up its Peace Implementation Programme (PIP) aimed at a rapid improvement in the socio-economic infrastructure in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
