The Additional Protocol to the American Convention on Human Rights in the Area of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1988 focuses on the obligation of States to promote social, economic, and cultural human rights.

(k) Turkey should take advantage of the technical cooperation services of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Area of freedom of religion and belief, with particular attention to minorities.
(ك) أن تستفيد تركيا من خدمات التعاون التقني التي توفرها مفوضة الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان في مجال حرية الدين والمعتقد ولا سيما إزاء الأقليات.

The resolution calls for the appointment of an independent expert " to facilitate cooperation between the Government of Liberia and the Office of the High Commissioner [for Human Rights] in the area of the promotion and protection of human rights by providing technical assistance and advisory services " .
ويدعو هذا القرار إلى تعيين خبير مستقل " لتيسير التعاون بين حكومة ليبيريا والمفوضية السامية [لحقوق الإنسان] في مجال تعزيز حقوق الإنسان وحمايتها بتقديم المساعدة التقنية والخدمات الاستشارية " .

An increasingly important part of the field work of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Area of the rule of law and democracy is in assisting in the design of the human rights components in the United Nations peace operations and providing advice once they are formed.
28 - وهناك عنصر يزداد أهمية في العمل الميداني الذي تضطلع به مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان في مجال سيادة القانون والديمقراطية ألا وهو المساعدة على تصميم عناصر حقوق الإنسان في بعثات الأمم المتحدة لحفظ السلام وتقديم المشورة بعد إنشاء تلك العناصر.

1. Decides to appoint an independent expert for an initial period of three years to facilitate cooperation between the Government of Liberia and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Area of the promotion and protection of human rights by providing technical assistance and advisory services;

Saudi Arabia took note of the activities reflected in India's report and mentioned the work of the National Human Rights Commission in preparing a national plan for human rights and of India's commitment to ensuring the independence of all bodies working in the area of human rights and to promoting Human Rights on the basis of effective dialogue and cooperation.
وأحاطت المملكة العربية السعودية علماً بالأنشطة المبيَّنة في تقرير الهند وأشارت إلى عمل اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان في مجال إعداد خطة وطنية لحقوق الإنسان وأحاطت علماً بالتزام الهند بضمان استقلال جميع الهيئات العاملة في مجال حقوق الإنسان وبتعزيز حقوق الإنسان استناداً إلى الحوار والتعاون الفعالَين.

It includes information on projects and activities carried out by the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the field of minority protection as requested in the resolution.
