A State party which has received a request for information on admissibility and merits may, within two months, object to admissibility and apply for separate consideration of admissibility.

This enables the Committee to consider both the admissibility and merits of the case at this stage, pursuant to rule 94, paragraph 1, of the rules of procedure.
