61. The Committee notes that Egypt has still not acceded to ILO Convention No. 97 (1949), concerning Migration for Employment (Revised), or to Convention No. 143 (1975) concerning Migrant Workers (Supplementary Provisions).
61- وتلاحظ اللجنة أن مصر لم تنضم بعد إلى اتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 97 لعام 1949 المتعلقة بالهجرة طلباً للعمل ولا إلى الاتفاقية رقم 143 لعام 1975 المتعلقة بالعمال المهاجرين (الأحكام التكميلية).

The main recommendations concerning Migration were as follows: not to turn the crisis into a migration crisis; to recognize that both women and men migrants are part of the solution, not part of the problem; and that migrants - including migrant women - are essential for today's globalized world.
وتمثلت أهم التوصيات المتعلقة بالهجرة في ما يلي: عدم تحويل الأزمة إلى أزمة هجرة؛ والاعتراف بأن المهاجرين والمهاجرات هم جزء من الحلّ وليس من المشكلة؛ والاعتراف بما للمهاجرين - بمن فيهم المهاجرات - من أهمية في عالم اليوم الذي تسوده العولمة.

The Committee reiterates its previous recommendations and urges the State party to promulgate a specific law on racial discrimination that is compatible with the Convention and ensure that legislative and political measures concerning Migration do not discriminate on grounds of race, colour or national origin (CERD/C/DOM/CO/12, paras. 9 and 11).

Two key instruments of the International Labour Organization (ILO) for the protection of migrant workers, namely, the Convention concerning Migration for Employment (Revised 1949) (No. 97), and the Convention concerning Migrations in Abusive Conditions and the Promotion of Equality of Opportunity and Treatment of Migrant Workers, 1975 (No. 143), have been in force for a long time.

2. CMW invited Bolivia to accede to ILO Conventions No. 97 (1949) concerning Migration for Employment and No. 143 (1975) concerning Migrations in Abusive Conditions and the Promotion of Equality of Opportunity and Treatment of Migrant Workers.
