With regard to the situation in Western Sahara, Togo welcomes the efforts of the Secretary-General as set forth in his report of 28 July 1993 (S/26185) on that question and urges him to pursue dialogue with the parties to the conflict in order to achieve implementation of the United Nations settlement plan.
وفيما يتعلق بالحالة في الصحراء الغربية، ترحب توغو بالجهود التي يبذلها اﻷمين العام، كما بينها في تقريره المؤرخ ٢٨ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٣ (S/26185) بشأن هذه المسألة وتحثه على مواصلة الحوار مع أطراف الصراع بغية التوصل إلى تنفيذ خطة اﻷمم المتحدة للتسوية.

15. Requests the SecretaryGeneral to ensure (a) continued monitoring and reporting, as part of the reports referred to in paragraph 6 above, of the situation of children and (b) continued dialogue with the parties to the conflict towards the preparation of timebound action plans to end the recruitment and use of child soldiers and other violations of international humanitarian law against children;

63. During the reporting period, UNAMID entered into dialogue with the parties to the conflict with a view to securing commitments to action plans aimed at ending the recruitment and use of child soldiers.
63 - وأثناء الفترة المشمولة بالاستعراض، دخلت العملية المختلطة للاتحاد الأفريقي والأمم المتحدة في دارفور في حوار مع أطراف النزاع للخروج بالتزامات بوضع خطط عمل ترمي لإنهاء تجنيد الجنود الأطفال واستخدامهم.

In this regard, significant progress has been made, in dialogue with the parties to the conflict, in the preparation and implementation of action plans to end recruitment and use of children in armed forces and groups, as requested by the Security Council in its resolutions 1539 (2004) and 1612 (2005) on children and armed conflict.

33. There is an ongoing review to determine some of the key lessons learned in the process of dialogue with the parties to the conflict in Côte d'Ivoire and the utilization of Security Council resolution 1612 (2005) and the annual report of the Secretary-General on children and armed conflict as tools in this process.

85. I request my Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict to undertake a follow-up visit to the Sudan to assess the situation for children first-hand, to facilitate dialogue with the parties to the conflict and to assess progress in the implementation of the pertinent recommendations of the Security Council Working Group on Children and Armed Conflict and the recommendations of my reports on the situation of children in the Sudan.

74. I request my Special Representative in the Central African Republic to designate as a matter of priority a Child Protection Adviser in BONUCA to ensure and coordinate with other United Nations actors the implementation of relevant provisions of Security Council resolution 1612 (2005), including the monitoring and reporting mechanism, and child protection dialogue with the parties to the conflict.

The purpose of the visit was also to establish dialogue with the parties to the conflict listed in the annexes to my seventh report on children and armed conflict (S/2007/757).
