It was therefore imperative that the disparity in the amounts and basis of calculation of retirement benefits for the Judges of the Court and the two Tribunals should be addressed.

92. Aligning the conditions under which the judges of the two Tribunals would be eligible for the relocation allowance with those of the Judges of the Court was a matter that should be carefully analysed in view of the amount of time each of the Tribunals was in session.

However, to allow people who were highly competent in international law to become Judges of the Court, it would be appropriate to require either criminal trial experience or knowledge of international law.
بيد أنه للسماح لﻷشخاص الذين يعتبرون على درجة عالية من الكفاءة في القانون الدولي ليصبحوا قضاة في المحكمة ، فسيكون من المناسب اشتراط إما خبرة في المحاكمات الجنائية أو معرفة بالقانون الدولي .
