1. Each Party included in Annex I, in achieving its quantified emission limitation and reduction commitments under Article 3, in order to promote sustainable development, shall:
١- يقوم كل طرف مدرج في المرفق اﻷول، في أداء التزاماته بتحديد وخفض الانبعاثات كميا بموجب المادة ٣، بغية تعزيز التنمية المستدامة، بما يلي:

Measures implemented under the compliance action plan shall not contribute to any Party's compliance with its quantified emission limitation or reduction commitments during the commitment period in which the compliance action plan is implemented.
ولا تسهم التدابير المنفذة في إطار خطة العمل الخاصة بالامتثال في أي امتثال للطرف لتعهداته بالحد من الانبعاثات الكمية أو تخفيضها أثناء فترة الالتزام التي تنفذ فيها خطة العمل الخاصة بالامتثال.

The values and data shall be submitted to the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting to the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol before an agreement is reached on the quantified emission limitation and reduction commitments for the commitment period to which the data refer.

Regarding nationally appropriate mitigation commitments or actions by developed countries, Parties considered a range of options, including the possibility of incorporating a broad spectrum of approaches in a given Party's binding actions or commitments, economy-wide targets, and quantified emission reduction commitments based on national targets.
16- وفيما يتعلق بالتزامات أو إجراءات التخفيف الملائمة وطنياً من جانب البلدان المتقدمة، نظرت الأطراف في طائفة من الخيارات، من بينها إمكانية إدراج طائفة عريضة من النهج في الإجراءات أو الالتزامات الملزمة لطرف ما، والأهداف على نطاق الاقتصاد، والتزامات التخفيض الكمي للانبعاثات استناداً إلى أهداف وطنية.

A Party included in Annex I may use CERs to contribute to compliance with part of its quantified emission limitation and reduction commitments under Article 3 if it:
